so i waited all night for you to call. i even put on my lucky socks, too. i was hoping your phone card would let you call; i missed your voice. i worried all day, wondering if you made it home safely. i got your text, saying you missed me so much.
so as i sat on my floor, trying to touch the stick-on glow-in-the-dark stars on my ceiling with my lucky socks on i thought of that friday, when we walked all around town. when we stopped in the field and you put your arms around me; there wasn't a sound except when you whispered "i love you" and kissed my cheek. i don't think i'd ever been so happy. that moment had me falling in love all over again.
and right when i sat up and wiped away my happy tears...the phone rang. ♥
